It was during a visit to Hawley Arabians in the late 80's, that Michael, in particular, was completely taken by an outstanding individual in Tanya’s collection shown to them that day.  A son of the exciting, and powerful moving daughter of Sar Monisa - Maaza.  Maaza was by Naazim, who was an award winning son of the phenomenal Naadirah imp UK (Aswan x Napraslina).  This young colt’s sire was WN Dasjmir imp USA (GG Samir x Arawisja), a highly successful stallion, and one of the most victorious imports in the history of the Australian Arabian show scene.  With no intention at all of becoming the owners of a stallion, the “Magic of Maa’zooz”, and the look on Michael’s face, as he admired this entrancing young colt, convinced Terry to astonish his family by proudly procuring Maa’zooz as the future sire for The Palms Arabian Stud

  Maa’zooz has produced progeny exclusively for The Palms and for Hawley Arabians.  Out of these descendants, several have proceeded to have much success in the show ring themselves.  From the paddocks of The Palms these strikingly correct little foals, have gone on to become flamboyant and glamorous award winning show horses.   At the age of 21 Maa’zooz stands confident in the knowledge that he is ruler of all he surveys.   He supervises his mares from under the trees in the top corner of his paddock that he shares with his lifelong sweetheart St Cloud Park Mona, and with his masculine dignity, and gentlemanly way, he will never want for anything in his life at The Palms.
